George Bull is a photographer based in Reading, UK.

My work follows a mixture of portraiture and documentary practices, combining the two to create images that explore people, the places they inhabit and their relationship with the world.

I studied Photography at Plymouth University graduating in 2011. In 2013 I assisted Martin Parr on ‘Open for Business’a document of contemporary British manufacturing commissioned by Mutlistory and Magnum Photos.

As well as working on personal projects I teach Photography in Oxfordshire.

I am continuing the work with refugees, asylum seekers and migrated people to document their experience in the UK and contribute to the debate about their treatment in the pursuit of safety.
